Schlüter-DITRA-DRAIN is a safe and permanently effective passive capillary drainage system for floor assemblies. For installations in outdoor areas, use thin-bed tile adhesive over a sloped bonded waterproofing assembly such as Schlüter-KERDI.
The closed polyethene membranes Schlüter-DITRA-DRAIN 4 form an additional protective layer for waterproofing assemblies.
Schlüter-DITRA-DRAIN 4 consists of a closed polyethene foil that features approx. 4mm high, truncated conical studs covered with a laminated filter webbing. Further studs are shaped as approximately 2mm high inverted truncated pyramids and form square undercut chambers on the underside. These facilitate the bonding of the cementitious tile adhesive, which is applied with a notched 6mm x 6mm trowel, to DITRA-DRAIN 4 and the substrate. It is important that DITRA-DRAIN 4 is fully embedded in the adhesive.
Schlüter-DITRA-DRAIN 4 is particularly suited for interior areas and small exterior areas.
Please Note: A 6mm x 6mm notched trowel should be used to fix Ditra-Drain 4 Matting to the substrate.
