Aluminium Heat Spreader Plates

Designed for wet underfloor heating systems, these aluminium plates measure 1000 × 390 mm and suit pipe sizes from 15–16 mm in diameter. Each plate features twin omega-shaped grooves at 200 mm centres, allowing pipes to clip securely in place—offering better retention than standard U-channel designs.

Each double spreader plate covers 0.5 m² of heated floor area, providing optimal spacing between plates and around room edges for 180° pipe turns.

Ideal for suspended floor systems, they are installed on top of floor joists or battens at standard 400 mm centres (adjustable on-site for varying joist spacing). Preformed channels allow plates to be nailed, screwed, or stapled into position.

At a room temperature of 20°C and floor temperature of 27°C, the plates deliver approximately 77 W/m² heat output. Variations in these temperatures will affect performance.

For maximum efficiency, plates should sit snugly beneath floorboards for direct contact, with insulation fitted directly underneath.
